HOW TO CONFIGURE AND GET 2GO TO WORK ON YOUR BLACKBERRY!

2go Messenger is an application that lets you chat up with friends, loved ones etc, it even gives you the ability to meet new friends just by participating in the chatrooms, you could even add friends just by entering their 2go username on the friendfinder page.

A lot of people always asked me how they could use 2go on their blackberry phones and thats why I searched the internet and stumbled upon this article on trueinternetworld.com decided to post How To Use 2go On blackberry Phones here for folks!

TO USE 2GO ON YOUR BLACKBERRY PHONE USING:

MTN AS EXAMPLE FOLLOW THE STEPS:

1. Goto Menu -> Options -> Advanced Options ->
TCP/IP * Tick “APN Settings Enabled” APN: web.gprs.mtnnigeria.net

2. ‘Tick Authentication Enabled’ Username for APN: web
Password for APN: web

3. Press Menu -> Save
Run on your blackberry it should work now!

GLO USERS: TRY THIS CONFIGURATION:

APN: glosecure
Password: gprs
Username: gprs

Don’t know how to configure your BlackBerry? I’ve already discussed it up there but for refresher, you can  follow the following steps:

From Your Home Screen,

Go to Options => Advanced Options and select TCP/IP

Tick the “APN Settings Enabled” box
Enter glosecure as the APN
Tick the “APN Authentication Enabled” box
Enter gprs as the username
Enter gprs as the password
Just like I’ve listed it at the beginning of this post
Save your settings (Don’t forget that!)

Launch your 2go and it should work.

If you can’t locate the TCP/IP on your BB ( e.g Curve 3G) following the steps above, try the steps below:

From Your Home Screen, Go to Options => Device => Advance System Settings and select TCP/IP

Tick the “APN Settings Enabled” box
Enter glosecure as the APN
Tick the “APN Authentication Enabled” box
Enter gprs as the username
Enter gprs as the password
Save your settings (Remember this)

Launch your 2go and it will work.

NOTE: You MUST have an active Globacom BIS running on your BlackBerry
